Cherryville High School health science teacher Nicole Golden is the èAVƵ nominee for the prestigious North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching (NCCAT) 2024 Career Technical Education Teacher of the Year award.

Brian Mayhew, an AIG Teacher, at Gardner Park Elementary and Tryon Elementary received the Nathan Hensley For The Love Of The Game Award at the èAVƵ County Sports Hall of Fame ceremony.
