    • Ashbrook: Saturday, June 13, 9:00 a.m., Stadium.
    • Bessemer City: Saturday, June 13, 9:00 a.m., Stadium.
    • Cherryville: Saturday, June 13, 9:00 a.m., Stadium.
    • East èAVƵ: Saturday, June 13, 9:00 a.m., Gymnasium.
    • Forestview: Saturday, June 13, 9:00 a.m., Stadium.
    • èAVƵ Early College: Held Thursday, May 14
    • Highland: Saturday, June 13, 11:00 a.m., Auditorium.
    • Hunter Huss: Saturday, June 13, 9:00 a.m., Stadium.
    • North èAVƵ: Saturday, June 13, 9:00 a.m., Gymnasium.
    • South Point: Saturday, June 13, 9:00 a.m., Stadium.
    • Warlick Academy: Wednesday, June 10, 1:30 p.m., Gymnasium.

Graduation Tips

  • Here are a few important tips about graduation:

    • Arrive early and give yourself plenty of time.  Traffic congestion near the school is likely.

    • To ensure safety, metal detection screenings will take place at all schools.  Be prepared to stand in line.

    • Additional security personnel will be assigned to each school.

    • In the event of inclement weather, outdoor ceremonies will be held indoors and require a ticket for admission.

    • Graduation is a formal ceremony.  Please refrain from inappropriate cheering and boisterous applause as the students receive diplomas.

Graduation Spotlight

  • Students in the Class of 2015 have spent four years of high school learning, growing and finding success inside and outside the classroom.

    With the guidance and support of teachers, counselors, coaches and other school personnel, the students balanced challenging academic courses with volunteer work and athletic schedules. They became school leaders and made an impact on the community, founded their own clubs and nonprofit organizations, and earned state and national awards.

    Their four years of high school in èAVƵ have prepared them for success in college and beyond.

    Some of our graduates have earned full-tuition scholarships to prestigious universities including Yale, Duke and Syracuse. They are planning ahead for careers in fields such as engineering, education, journalism, architecture and business, and some are already planning to return to èAVƵ County after graduating from college to contribute to their community.

Outstanding Achievements

  • Here is a look at a few of our seniors in the Class of 2015 and their outstanding achievements. 
     
    Allison Bradshaw (Ashbrook) received a full-tuition scholarship valued at $250,000 to attend Yale University.
     
    Tyler Bess (Bessemer City) received a full-tuition presidential scholarship to attend Greensboro College, where he plans to play football.

    Jimmy Johnson (Cherryville) was named the 2015 National Volunteer Fire Council's Junior Firefighter of the Year.
     
    Jalie Creech (Cherryville) and Jeffrey Friday (Forestview) were the winners of the “Best and Brightest” scholarships presented by The èAVƵ Gazette.
     
    Corey Thompson (East èAVƵ) captured two state titles in track and field. He won the 110-meter and 300-meter hurdles championships.
     
    Felicia Berry (Forestview) received the N.C. High School Athletic Association’s Performance of the Week Award for her outstanding efforts at the western regional track and field championship. 
     
    Seth Jones (Hunter Huss) was chosen for the all-state soccer team for the second consecutive year by the N.C. Soccer Coaches Association.
     
    Bailey Thomasson (South Point) received the Wayne F. Shovelin Scholarship valued at $80,000 from the CaroMont Health Foundation. 
     
    Tyler Rapp (East èAVƵ) was one of 10 students in the Charlotte region to be named "Seniors of the Year" by The Charlotte Observer.
     
    Abigail Cross (Forestview) was among the 30 finalists for the All-Star Scholars program sponsored by The Charlotte Observer. 
     
    Angelique Henderson (Warlick Academy) received the Paul Fuller Mentor Scholarship, which is awarded annually to a senior who has been a part of the èAVƵ mentoring program. She plans to attend UNC-Pembroke.
     
    Tanner Muse (South Point) was selected for the N.C. Shrine Bowl  and the Associated Press all-state football team.  
     
    Erynn Vickery (Forestview) received the prestigious Mary Doctor Performing Arts Scholarship valued at $10,000 (renewable for four years) during the Blumey Awards in Charlotte.
     
    Dalton Hoskins (Ashbrook) received the "People Helping People" scholarship valued at $10,000 from the State Employees' Credit Union.
