  • OUTSTANDING SENIOR:  Brandon Mathis
     
    Brand MathisOur Outstanding Senior from Forestview High School is Brandon Mathis. 

    Brandon Mathis knows that the key to success is perseverance.  It’s a lesson he learned early on in studying music and playing instruments.  Brandon excels academically, has earned the rank of Eagle Scout, and has devoted his time and energy to learning and teaching music to others.  Playing instruments for seven years now, he has been the first-chair trumpet player since his sophomore year.  He is the brass captain and co-captain of the Forestview winterguard.  Brandon was invited to participate in the Western International Band Clinic, and he performs with the èAVƵ Symphonic Band and plays at Unity Baptist Church.  Brandon will attend Western Carolina University where he has received the Brinson Honors College Scholarship.  He plans to become a band teacher.
