Chris Dixon, Assistant Principal

This is Mr. Dixon’s 24th year as an educator. Mr. Dixon is a proud product of èAVƵ. He graduated from Cherryville High School in 1993, and later attended Western Carolina University where he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education. After teaching and coaching for 13 years, Mr. Dixon obtained his Master’s Degree in School Administration from Gardner Webb University, and began his administrative career as a Dean of Students after graduation. After serving as a Dean of Students for two years, Mr. Dixon began his role as an Assistant Principal. Mr. Dixon has been employed with èAVƵ for the entirety of his career as an educator. When not at school, Mr. Dixon enjoys working out, fishing, and spending time with his family.

Chelisa Joyner
Mrs. Chelisa Joyner is a native of Alabama. This is Mrs. Joyner’s 12th year as an educator. After teaching World History for seven years, Mrs. Joyner obtained her Master’s Degree in Instructional Leadership from Alabama State University. Mrs. Joyner was previously an assistant principal in Montgomery, Alabama. Mrs. Joyner is currently working on her doctorate in educational leadership, policy and law and enjoys reading, journaling, and spending time with family.

Lucinda Huffstetler

I was born and raised in a small town in Northeast Ohio. I graduated from Geneva High School and then attended the University of Mount Union, earning my Bachelor of Arts degree in History with an emphasis in Adolescent to Young Adult Education. I moved to North Carolina in 2004 to pursue a teaching position at North èAVƵ High School, where I taught World History. I received my MSE in Educational Leadership-Administration from Arkansas State University. My husband and I are the proud parents of two children, Sydney and Luke. I enjoy outdoor activities, traveling to historic sites, reading, and spending time with my family.
